At Adderlane Academy all pupils have a strong voice, 'Even the smallest voice is heard'. Pupils develop as confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens in a safe, high quality learning environment which is up-to-date and equipped with the necessary technologies to prepare them for life in the twenty-first century.  Comprehensive, extended provision supports children in developing specific gifts and talents and places the school at the heart of the community which it serves.

The school has a fully inclusive ethos where all members of the community are encouraged to have high aspirations for themselves. Learning, leading to high academic attainment, is at the heart of each academy with all children, irrespective of inherent ability, striving to fulfil their potential. Learning experiences are woven into an exciting curriculum which is broad, balanced and relevant, where children develop core basic skills which are transferable to everyday life situations.

Adderlane Academy operates an open-door policy with parents, carers and the local community. All are welcomed into the Academy so that all can participate and share skills and experiences with the children.

We have 11 values and celebrate these throughout the school year. Our values are intended to support the personal, social and spiritual development of every pupil throughout the school from when they start their journey with us in EYFS until they leave us at Year 4.

The whole staff team, parents and pupils are involved in promoting values and recognising where and when we are demonstrating these values. We promote our values weekly in assemblies.

We encourage our children to demonstrate these values, not only in school time, but from the minute they wake up to the minute they go to bed as they do not just make the qualities of a good pupil but of a good person and that is what we aspire for all at Adderlane.
